The Professional Courses department is what was originally known as the Education Department, In the Competency Based Curriculum, the former units have been developed into full learning areas each with its own design.

Owing to the many learning areas, the department now has eighteen (10) facilitators in the college who ensure that the teacher trainees are thoroughly facilitated.
