The dean of curriculum (D.O.C.) in a teacher training college is responsible for the core mandate, which is curriculum implementation.

Some responsibilities of the Dean of Curriculum include but not limited to:

• Selection, registration and orientation of new students;

• In charge of curriculum implementation;

• Co-ordination of formative and summative assessments through the examinations office;

• Registration of students for the National Assessments

• Preparation of teaching timetable and ensures that it is adhered to;

• Organizing teaching practice through the office of the Teaching Practice

• Keeping students' academic records;

• Supervises all curriculum Programmes;

• Presentation of students for graduation

• Any other duty assigned from time to time.
