Office of the Chaplain

St. Marks’ Teachers Training College has a strong Christian foundation ranging from its inception. The college chaplaincy office supports the students and staff in religious obligations while studying and working at St. Marks’ Teachers Training College. The College chaplaincy office is interested in building and growing the spiritual welfare of its students and staff and helps them understands as well as respect person from all faiths.This is done by providing opportunities of worship through daily services, community services, and interaction with the chaplains on a daily basis. 

Three spiritual groups assist to achieve this. These are; the Christian Union (CU) and Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) for the protestants, the Young Christian Association (YCS) for the Catholics and the Muslim Community.

 The Chaplaincy Department co-ordinates spiritual groups to conduct day-to-day activities of their areas which include: Prayer, worship and other spiritual practices, Educational events, such as conferences, panel discussions, forums and guest speakers, Advice, Guidance and consultation to students and staff and the St. Marks’ Teachers Training College on a range of faith-based issues.


 The Chaplaincy office is accessible to all members of the College and we strongly encourage all students and staff to visit the office. The chaplain serves all students and staff and is available to talk to regardless of your religious beliefs. 

 The Chaplain is available from 8am to 5pm Tuesday to Friday.
