At St. Mark’s kigari primary Teachers College, we take pride in how we prepare student teachers during the two-year training to be life-long contributors to nation building and individual development. The college has a skilled workforce of tutors and committed support staff who aim at training qualified and disciplined teachers.

It is evident that good behavior results in good performance in all academic institutions. Bad behavior also results in bad grades.

It follows therefore that I need to stress the importance of good behavior and hope that all will be self disciplined and doing the right thing at the right time and in the right manner. We admit students from all over the country with different traditions and diverse cultural background: Therefore, being at this college is a golden opportunity to integrate and to learn from each other. We learn to share and care, and to have respect for others' opinions promoting national cohesion.

Our Christian sponsor has taught us that we need to be more open-minded, and more understanding of each other’s differences. We should always learn from each other, accept one another and not blame each other. Cultivate the inner qualities of loving kindness, great compassion, patience and thankfulness.
